According to Trend.az portal, SOCAR state-owned oil company of Azerbaidzhan has announced commissioning of a new production well at “Neftyaniye Kamni” subsea field in the South Caspian Basin.
Extraction will be performed at the depth of 1,610 – 1,602 m, with a daily production rate of 16 tons. Considering the new oilfield, the company plans to increase its annual oil recovery by 5.84 thousand tons.
“Neftyaniye Kamni” is one of offshore fields in the Caspian Sea, located 42 km to the east of Apsheron. It has been developed since 1949.
