During the Plenary Session at Izmir international exhibition, Aleksandr Novak, Russian Energy Minister, reported on about 170 km subsea section of the “Turkish Stream” pipeline laid by “Gazprom” company.

“Gazprom” started construction works in May 2017. According to Mr. Novak, this project aims to boost energy security of Turkey and the European Union, and now it is successfully developing. The pipeline will stretch across the Black Sea to the European part of Turkey and reach as far as its border with Greece. The offshore section will reach 910 km in length, while the onshore line within Turkish territory will total 180 km.
