Olya and Astrakhan ports located in Astrakhan Region have all required infrastructure, but are loaded at less than 30% of their capacity. Radick Kharisov, Deputy Chairman of Astrakhan Regional Government, informed TASS News Agency of that fact on the sidelines of “TechnoCaspian-2017” International Caspian Forum.

“Olya and Astrakhan ports have all required infrastructure. Furthermore, it is only loaded at 25-30%. There is some growth for transloading and shipments, by both motor transport and rail” – he stated.
The 2nd International Caspian Technical Forum (“TechnoCaspian-2017”) took place in Astrakhan in April 20 – 22. The forum gathered over 700 participants from 12 countries, including representatives of Caspian bordering countries as well as India, Italy, Greece, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Germany.
